Hybrid Flower
Gary Payton X Jealousy 15
Originally created by Cookies and Powerzzzup, Gary Payton isn’t just a gassy killer of a strain named for a hall-of-fame Basketball player, it’s also a starting lineup heater in our newest combination. By matching this pheno of Y x Snowman to one of Seed Junky’s finest, the Jealousy 15.
This one is a whole palette of colors. Wildly different shades of green and purple stand in stark contrast with the hairs. There’s a bit of something wild to the ways the buds grow. These aren’t big boulder buds but the bouncy fresh flowers that experienced smokers often seek out for freshness.
There’s a smell from the jar like sweet pastry icing that ends with that flowery Jealousy vibe. You can squeeze a bud however and all that Gary Payton rushes in leaving no room for the Jealousy to creep in until the grind. Breaking it down combines the burnt rubber smell from the G.P. but lets the Jealousy sweeten things into more of a new tire smell. That slight mellowing out makes for something you can really stick your nose into and take more than a couple of deep whiffs.
The dry pull is a switch-up to give you a mouthful of Jealousy. That sweet, floral explosion tells you exactly what’s going on. There’s a taste that is almost plastic at the very first moment but then quickly explodes as Gary Payton dunks all over the Jealousy. The rubbery smoky flavor isn’t overpowering or rough, in fact you can see the sweetness over on the sidelines but it never makes it into the court.
Given that fresh Firestone aroma and heavy, rich smoke, GPJ should almost stand for Gassy Palate Jumper.
