5 Bongs Made For The Road
Summertime means looking for fun outside and soaking up all the sun you can, but one of the hardest parts of heading outdoors can be saying goodbye to your favorite bong. For those who just don’t jive with a pipe or don’t enjoy rolling a joint, we’ve put together a list of five of our favorite travel-friendly water pipes that you can depend on not to break on the car ride there, in the bag with the camping supplies, or even bumping around in the ice chest.
Puffco “Cupsy”
Perhaps the most disguised bong on the list, the Puffco Cupsy looks just like a coffee cup except that, with a flip of the “drinking straw” you reveal a ceramic bowl perfect for those quick sessions. The heavy-duty silicone top does a great job of hiding the smell of bong water and what’s great is that you can switch out the cup with anything with the same diameter on the opening. This year, Puffco even partnered with AriZona teas to release a version with their signature cherry blossom graphic. The cupsy is easy to clean, easy to load, and even easier to hide, making it a perfect addition to the list.

Dangle Supply “DangleBong”
This is the bong you imagine pulling out when you leave the tent for coffee and a wake and bake. Made from lightweight titanium, it looks a little like a post driver with only one handle and even comes in that camper’s classic “speckled blue” color. Standing seven inches tall, it features an 18mm downstem with five holes for extra percolation. The cherry on top is the rubber plug that stops up the top and holds your bowl while you’re packing up the campsite.

Greenstone “Travel Master”
The Travel Master is the kind of bong you’d imagine pulling out from behind a bar. Modeled on the classic cocktail shaker, its two upper pieces can be pulled from the 8” deep base and slid over it to create a bong. The bowl and downstem are made of medical-grade stainless steel. Greenstone calls this the perfect piece for everywhere from the campsite to the coffee table, and claims that with the Travel Master, they have “boiled the water pipe down to the most functional design possible.”

Whomp It Glass
This is one of those we-dare-you-to-break-it kinds of products. The glass on a Whomp It bong is a whopping 9 millimeters thick and boasts some of the most grueling customer stress tests you’ve ever seen. Watch people use it as a baseball bat, drop it off balconies, smash watermelons, hit it with a truck, or even throw it in the dryer and hit start. Belonging in the “as seen on TV” aisle, you can even pick up one of their aluminum downstems to complete your near-invincible setup.

Wandering Bud “Billy Bubbler”
We know this is technically considered a bubbler, but if you’re going a-wandering, you need to trust that the piece you’re taking can withstand a couple of dings and drops. One of the things that make Wandering Bud a perfect choice is how they drop-test many of their pieces and post the videos online so you can see how durable these ceramic creations are. A woman-owned company started in 2016 by Riley Brain, the brand employs a team of artists in Kansas City to create each piece by hand. The Billy may look like a sandcastle made from half a croissant but watch the tape and see how much of a beating this thing can take.
